Djurgarden lost 1-2 at home to IF Elfsborg in the Allsvenskan. After a late equaliser from Jacob Une Larsson, Simon Olsson won it for the visitors with a 76th-minute finish.
Janne Honkavaara's side enjoyed 55 percent possession but created too few clear chances. Elfsborg were more clinical and took the lead just before half-time through Rasmus Wikström. Djurgarden fought back in the 66th minute when Kristian Strømland Lien, the season's top scorer with 15 goals, assisted Jacob Une Larsson for 1-1.
The defeat means Djurgarden remain third in the Allsvenskan with 41 points from 22 games. They are now ten points behind leaders Sirius. After four consecutive wins, the unbeaten run came to an end.
Lineups and substitutions
Djurgarden started in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Joona Rinne in goal. Patric Åslund was replaced at half-time by Oskar Fallenius. Later, Abdulmalik, Max Larsson, Peter Langhoff and Charlie Rosenquist came on as the team pushed for a winner. Daniel Stensson received a yellow card in the first half.
The next fixture is a Stockholm derby away to Hammarby FF on October 11.
