Djurgarden have officially confirmed that goalkeeper Filip Manojlovic will join Norwegian side IK Start on a six-month loan. The deal includes a purchase option for IK Start if they secure another season in the Eliteserien.
Why is Manojlovic leaving Djurgarden?
Manojlovic was the first-choice keeper in early 2025 after Malkolm Nilsson Säfqvist’s injury, but Jacob Rinne has since claimed the starting spot. The arrival of Lukas Jonsson further reduced his opportunities. Djurgarden currently sit 3rd in Allsvenskan with 26 points from 14 games (8 wins, 2 draws, 4 losses) and a +18 goal difference (33 scored, 15 conceded).
What does Djurgarden’s management say?
Football chief Maximilian Hahn praises Manojlovic as “one of the best personalities” he has worked with. “We respect his ambitions and want to give him the chance to play every match,” Hahn states. Manojlovic’s contract with Djurgarden runs until the 2027 season.
What happens next?
IK Start, currently bottom of the Eliteserien table, can trigger a permanent transfer if they avoid relegation. Djurgarden’s next fixture is away to IF Brommapojkarna on 18 October 2026, with Peter Langhoff currently sidelined through injury.
