Djurgarden beat Gais 2-0 with goals from Kristian Stromland Lien and Bo Åsulv Hegland.
Lien opened the scoring in the 35th minute after an assist from Hegland, before Hegland himself scored in the 63rd minute with the assist coming from Lien. The match took place on Monday at 17:00 UTC and was matchday 21 of the 2026 Allsvenskan season.

Lien under manager Jani Honkavaara. Gais lined up in a 4-3-3 with M. Krasniqi, A. Wängberg, R. Frej, O. Ågren, R. Thomasson, H. Sletsjøe, J. Åberg, D. Collander, O. Pettersson, N. Vasić and R. Niklasson under manager F. Holmberg.
Already in the 20th minute, Daniel Stensson received a yellow card for Djurgarden after a foul. Gais picked up their first yellow card through Dennis Collander in the 53rd minute, before Oskar Ågren was shown a red card in the 59th minute.
After halftime, Djurgarden made two substitutions in the 68th minute as Christos Almyras replaced Daniel Stensson. Later, Hegland was replaced by Alexander Johansson in the 81st minute, followed by several further changes.
In the 86th minute, Almyras received his second yellow card and was therefore sent off for serious foul play, while Henry Sletsjoe received a yellow card for Gais during an altercation. Sletsjoe later picked up a second yellow and a red card in the 90+10th minute, while Joackim Aberg received a yellow card for Gais in the 90+8th minute for a similar offence.
The stats showed Djurgarden had 51% possession compared to Gais’ 49%, with 12 shots (5 on target) versus Gais’ 13 shots (3 on target). Both teams earned two corners each. Djurgarden committed 10 fouls against Gais’ 16, and while Djurgarden picked up one yellow and one red card, Gais collected two yellows and two reds.
Djurgarden now sit third in Allsvenskan with 38 points from 20 games, claiming a +25 goal difference from 44 goals scored and 19 conceded. The team have won five matches in a row and head into their upcoming away fixture against IF Brommapojkarna on October 18th with confidence.
Kristian Stromland Lien has now scored 14 goals this season in 20 appearances and is the team’s top scorer. The most recent meeting between the sides also ended in a 2-0 victory for Djurgarden.
