Djurgarden suffered their first defeat in five matches, losing 1-2 at home to IF Elfsborg. Jacob Une Larsson equalised in the 66th minute, but a late goal from Simon Olsson secured the points for the visitors. The team had won their last four matches before this defeat.
The result ended Djurgarden's run of four consecutive victories. Rasmus Wikström put Elfsborg ahead just before half-time. The home side responded through Une Larsson, who headed in a cross from Kristian Strømland Lien. However, just ten minutes later, Simon Olsson scored the winner following a pass from Alexander Jensen.
Table position unchanged
Despite the loss, Djurgarden remain in a solid second place in Allsvenskan with 41 points from 21 games. They have scored 46 goals this season, the most in the league, and Kristian Strømland Lien is the club's top scorer with 15 goals.
The match was even with 55 percent possession for the hosts. They had nine shots to Elfsborg's 15, but only two were on target. Manager Jani Honkavaara made several early substitutions, including bringing on Oskar Fallenius at half-time. Daniel Stensson received the only yellow card for Djurgarden.

Their goal output this season is impressive, but the defence conceded twice this time. It is an area that needs tightening ahead of the upcoming tough fixtures. The team now has a three-week break before the derby against Hammarby.
