Djurgårdens Comeback

In a home match against Uppsala IK Dam in the Allsvenskan, Djurgården returned to winning ways with an overwhelming victory. Maho Hirosawa opened the scoring on a pass from Maria Olafsdottir Gros in the eighth minute and gave Djurgården early lead.

Quick Lead Extension

Djurgården extended its lead to 2-0 in the 23rd minute when Olivia Ulenius scored off an assist by Lucia Duras. Urara Watanabe made it 3-0 with assistance from Freyja Stefansdottir in the 36th minute.

Late Substitution and Final Victory

Immediately after halftime, Maho Hirosawa extended Djurgårdens lead again. Urara Watanabe received a pass from Lucia Duras with half an hour left to play, extending the lead to 5-0. This was Urara Watanabe's fifth goal in Allsvenskan.

Uppsala IK Dam scored a consolation goal in the 69th minute, reducing the deficit to 6-1, but Fabienne Bartholdsson added another goal for Djurgården in the 74th minute. Rebecca Jakobsson sealed the victory with an 8-0 scoreline off a pass from Olivia Ulenius in the 90th minute.

With one win and four losses over the last five matches, Djurgården now sits at twelfth place in the table. Uppsala IK Dam remains on fourteenth and last place with five losses.

Djurgården's next match will be against Växjö on Friday, August 14th at 7:00 PM, while Uppsala IK Dam faces Malmö FF at home on Saturday, August 15th at 1:00 PM.
