Djurgarden are still being linked with several players in the transfer market. According to a compilation by Fotbolltransfers.com in late August, the club is interested in seven players while three could depart.
Fotbolltransfers.com lists seven players that Djurgarden are reportedly interested in. Among the most notable are 19-year-old forward Charlie Rosenqvist from Kalmar FF and 23-year-old Abdul Abdulmalik from English side Boreham Wood FC. Other names on the list are 14-year-old midfielder Ahmad-Daniel Alsaady from IK Oddevold, left-back Kaya Symons from De Graafschap, midfielder Eze Onuoha from SJK Seinäjoki, forward Jean Paul Sanoko from Stella FC, and centre-back Amadou Jeremei Keita from Académie Foot Darou Salam.
Which players have already joined Djurgarden?
The club has already completed several signings during the summer transfer window. Goalkeeper Lukas Jonsson has arrived from VfL Osnabrück, defender Daryl Tschoumy-Nana from VfL Bochum, and midfielder Christos Almyras from Asteras Tripolis for a fee of 11 million Swedish kronor. Further reinforcements include forwards Sander Finjord Ringberg from Hönefoss BK and Angelo Agbejoye from Grassrunners FC, as well as left-back Lucca Gentil from Sfera FC. Young talent Alexander Johansson has also been promoted from IFK Stocksund.
Several young players have been promoted to the first team. This includes full-back Carl Selfvén, midfielders Vincent Larsson and Abdirahim Abdulle, and forward Milian Jansson. The club's current squad therefore has a much younger look ahead of the autumn season.
Which players have left Djurgarden?
Around ten players have departed the squad. Goalkeeper Filip Manojlovic and defender Leon Hien have been loaned to IK Start and Tromsö IL respectively. Viktor Bergh has been sold to Karlsruher SC, while Mikael Anderson has moved to AGF Århus. Joel Asoro's loan from FC Metz has ended and he is now set for Apollon Limassol.
Other players who have left are Kalipha Jawla (loan to Östers IF), Ahmed Saeed (loan to FC Arlanda), Santeri Haarala (HJK Helsinki), Zakaria Sawo (Qarabag FK), Hampus Finndell (Jagiellonia Bialystok) and Nino Zugelj (loan with option to IFK Göteborg).
Which other players could leave the club?
In addition to the confirmed departures, there are rumours about three more players who could leave Djurgarden. Midfielder Matias Siltanen is reportedly attracting interest from clubs such as Udinese, Toulouse, Besiktas and Olympique Lyon. Forward Jeppe Okkels is linked with Silkeborg IF, while goalkeeper Jacob Rinne has interest from Saudi Arabian side Al Fateh.
Several players also have expiring contracts, meaning they could leave on a free transfer. That group includes goalkeeper Max Croon, defenders Jacob Une and Miro Tenho, and forwards Oskar Fallenius and Kalipha Jawla. The club's extensive player turnover this summer is a clear sign of a major squad rebuild.
