Djurgarden has strengthened ahead of the season, but according to expert Nichlas Falk, the team lacks a top back to be able to go further in the playoffs. Falk believes that the team needs a clear top back of really high class. The team has made some good signings, but Falk thinks that they need one more top-class back to be able to compete with the best teams in the league. Lucas Carlsson is a great signing, but Falk thinks that they need another player of his caliber, preferably a bit better. Sissons and Jeppe Pettersson are players that the team knows what they have, but Gustav Lindström is a bit of an unknown quantity, and Philip Holm is a player that the team knows what they have. Hugo Blixt needs to develop to be able to compete for a sixth or seventh place if someone drops out. Liam Pettersson, the new signing, is also a bit of an unknown quantity – where is he? Falk thinks that the team needs a clear top back of really high class. If they get that on the backline, then it looks really good. On the forward line, they also need one or two reliable goal-scorers. Blomgren is likely to be in the same position as last season, and Henrik Eriksson is a player that the team is not really sure about. Grewe is also a player that the team is not really sure about. Hudon is a stable player. Josefson is a player that the team wants more of, both in terms of goals and in terms of staying healthy. Nordmark is an uncertain player. Salsten and the other Norwegians will be in the third and fourth lines and will be very useful for the team – but they need players who can come in and make a difference, both on the backline and on the forward line. The goalkeeper position is the one that looks the most solid, according to Falk. They have brought in Vejdemo, who is a stable and reliable goalkeeper. But as Falk says, they need a bit more if they want to take it to the next level – and that is the top-class signing that they are missing.
