Threat against coach

Djurgården has filed a police complaint over threats aimed at head coach Jani Honkavaara. A cross was erected at Kaknäs before Friday’s training at the club’s training facility, according to Fotbollskanalen.

CEO’s statement

CEO Hampus Frisén called the incident "totally unacceptable" and said an employee within Djurgården had been subjected to threats. He stated: "We have reported this to the police and, given the ongoing police investigation, we will not provide further comments. Our focus moving forward is to take care of our employees and ensure their well-being."

Team’s situation

Djurgården lost a home derby to AIK 1-3 on Sunday and previously 0-1 away to Västerås SK. The club sits sixth in Allsvenskan and will next face Malmö FF on the road this Monday.
