Djurgarden young midfielder Alexander Johansson, 16, made a memorable debut in the club's 6-0 win over Västerås in mid-July. With the team currently in strong form, WWDWW, and sitting third in Allsvenskan with 26 points from 14 games, the season continues on a high note.

How did the debut go?

Johansson described the past few days as “really fun” and his debut as “completely magical.” The match against Västerås was the perfect stage for his first appearance in Allsvenskan. “It was a perfect game to do it in,” he says with a big smile.

Why did he choose Djurgarden?

Making his debut in Djurgarden’s colors felt almost destined, given his father, Andreas Johansson, who played 172 matches for the club and won four titles. But Alexander is clear: “I’m here to write my own story, not to live off my dad’s merits.”

What does his father say about his career?

Andreas Johansson gives his son advice and support but also jokes that Alexander hasn’t won any titles yet. “He says I haven’t done anything yet. He has four titles, and I have nothing,” Alexander shares.

What are his future goals?

Johansson wants to stay at Djurgarden for as long as possible and maximize his development. “I want to win the Ballon d’Or if I can.” Currently, the team sits third in Allsvenskan, 15 points behind leaders Sirius, with 33 goals scored and 15 conceded this season. The next fixture is away against IF Brommapojkarna on October 18, 2026, while Peter Langhoff is currently sidelined.
